- Just over 12 months since granddad's diagnosis of T1b RUL adenocarcinoma (found by chance on a scan that should never have even picked up lungs)
- 10 months since 3 weeks radiotherapy finished, - Scan in Sept 2025 showed expected post radiotherapy changes...
Results we got today from scan 3rd Feb reported as showing "improving post treatment changes", and "no definite evidence of the cancer coming back", it's amazing to hear it wrote about in the past tense.
I would have been thankful for "stable" or "same", but we couldn't ask for any better than improving... he did it, at 79 he obliterated "Clive" I've never been so proud, it's been one hell of a journey.
God bless the NHS, especially The Christie
Never give up hope, you're all amazing ️
That is wonderful news, I am so happy for you and your grandad. I once heard an oncologist say to a patient that was just starting treatment, “give me one year of your life, and I will give you your life back”. Sounds like that has happened with your grandad.
Wonderful news, very best wishes to your granddad.
Derek.
