Hi has anyone else had any side effects that make you cough up brown mucus? I have just started the two things above as palliative treatment
thanks in response
Donna x
Hi Ellasmum both of those treatments can cause irritation in the lung, with coughing being a side effect for both. However I am not sure about the brown mucus, this could well be an infection so I would contact your lung nurse and mention this to her.
Thanks for the advice chelle I’m due a visit to oncology this week so will mention it then xxx
Donna
Hi Ellasmum
I hope you don't mind me popping in here, I just noticed that you had posted a few times in the early hours of the morning and I just wanted to make sure you have the right support in place.
If you might find it helpful to have a chat through the night, the Online Community is always open. We are trying to make it easier for members to connect and chat with each other, whether it be 3pm or 3am.
We have created a new thread in the Cancer Chat forum to help bring members together in a place where they can chat through the night.
It's a new thread, so it might take some time to build a Community of members who support each other. We hope you might consider joining the conversation.
We also have a Macmillan Support Line if you would like to talk things through with someone who is there to listen. Our Support Line teams are available 7 days a week, 8am-8pm on freephone 0808 808 00 00, email or live webchat.
If you are in need of immediate clinical support, but it's not an emergency the NHS 111 service is open 24 hours:
For more emotional support you can text "SHOUT" to 85258 to contact the Shout Crisis Text Line any time day or night.
Thanks all and do let us know if you have any questions.
That sounds like a good idea,I talk to friend in Canada when there’s nobody about I sometimes through the night sleeping so what you have said sounds good I will keep an eye out for it thankyou for the info x Donna
