Had consultation yesterday for Secondary Lung Cancer that i was diagnosed with on 29th January, ive been told ill need another CT scan to check if cancer has spread anywhere else since last scans at start of January, also got told i will get surgery in 5/6 weeks to remove tumour from right lung...i also have a tumour on left lung but been told its too small to remove with surgery so they are just gonna leave and keep eye on it, i feel this has been a long, long wait for surgery....plus just keeping eye on left side tumour has me worried that itll spread elsewhere in body ..i asked if i would be getting chemo after my surgery and was told no as they keep that as a last resort if cant remove with surgery ....anyone else got similiar where tumour has just been left because too small ??? Plus do you think the waiting time is long...29th January i was told, and doesnt look like till end of April start of May before surgery !!!
my mum is having radiotherapy on larger tumour in one lung, there are other ones in other lung but too small to biopsy/treat, so she's going to have regular scans to monitor them. They said very likely cancer, so I understand you, it feels so wrong/weird to just leave them to potentially spread.... :( Guess we have to trust the experts. Can't advise on surgery, hope all goes ok.
