I never ever thought I would reach out to something like this, still don’t know if it’s really the kind of help/support I’m looking for but I don’t know where else to turn, I think I’m just looking for someone who may possibly be thinking/feeling the same as me.
My Dad was diagnosed with small call lung cancer in May last year, we’ve been relatively lucky up until recently, the tumour was mainly affecting his sodium levels which until now has been relatively simple to control with Tolvaptan, now he’s struggling to keep that under control and it seems to be beating him in every other aspect too- the coughing, wheezing, aching in the chest, breathlessness, it all seems to be winning & I have no idea how to help him or get through it myself
Hi, I'm sorry about your dad's diagnosis. I finished treatment for my lung cancer 13 month's ago, but mine was non-small cell.
I'm sure you will get replies soon from people either going through or have gone through this. There is another thread on here which is for relatives caring for a family member going through the same. You should find that helpful.
Best wishes to both you and your dad.
Whatever cancer throws your way, we’re right there with you.
We’re here to provide physical, financial and emotional support.
