Hi. I've  now been diganosed with mestastic bone cancer on my sternum bone which has come from my appendix cancer I had 6 yrs ago.  It really has been a tough few weeks since my major op on the 1st July 2024.  I'm having a scan done with contrast next Thursday to see if it has spread eles where' fingers crossed it hasn't. I'm getting so fed up& tired of all this now' it just seems never ending.

  • Hi Xbreezex,

stay positive we are all routing for you and fingers crossed

  • Thankyou donna. I'm really scared  about it all. x

  • Thankyou chelle. Have you or anyone suffered from panic/anxiety attacks as I had one early this morning. Any help on this would be much appreciated' especially how to cope with it.X

  • Hi, yes I have suffered with anxiety since diagnosis stage 4 lung cancer, which they say is treatable, so I know that waiting for results is hell, my cancer nurse has put me on Amitriptyline which has helped. I find going for a walk and listening to a pod cast passes an hour and always feel better when I get back . Best of luck xx

  • Thankyou. How long ago were you diganosd if you don't mind me asking. Really pleased for you that it's treatable.  I will do the listening to music& hopefully the walking when I'm more fit.X

  • Hi XBREEZEX I am sorry you had a panic attack, that must of been very scary. I have found an information sheet that you may find helpful that has links to support for anxiety symptoms and panic attacks. I’ll pop a link below for you to click on, it will take you to the page.
