Morning. I saw my consultant/ surgeon yesterday to find out about what treatment I will be having to removed this legion from my lung.Im going to have which we both agreed on & best option for me a thermal ablation. This will take place a week or two after my holiday. The lesion it's self is relatively small' been growing the last several mths or longer' it's come from where they did my last ablation & wedge resection back in 2022. All does sound so positive but can't believe I'm having this done as I've only just come out of hospital 5 / 6 weeks ago after having peritoneal malignancy surgery so still recovering from that. As I've had so many different cancer over these last 9 yes I'm not sure where on here I actually fit in.
Hi XBREEZEX firstly let me say you fit in wherever you feel most comfortable. My lung cancer is actually a sarcoma so I don’t fit into the “normal” lung cancer stereotype, but I feel that here is where I belong.
I haven’t heard of a thermal ablation before, but it sounds like this will sort this lesion for you. It is reassuring to hear that it is small, but sorry you are having to go through more treatment in such a short time. Glad you are able to have your holiday first.
Good luck with the treatment, maybe you can share your experience with us after as will be interesting to hear how you got on.
