Chest and shoulder pain

Hi Ellasmum  i think you should call your lung nurse to tell her of this pain you are experiencing. It may be a side effect from your treatment but really needs checking.

Spoke to nurse spent a few hours in AnE checking nothing sinister going on like blood clots , my blood pressure was very low, had a few x-rays and scans and good news all looks to be ok, suspect it’s late side effects from the radiotherapy , I’m doing ok and thanks again for the advice x 

Hi Ellasmum I am glad you have been checked out at the hospital, I was concerned about your symptoms and the possibility of a blood clot, as I had a blood clot on my lung, but didn’t want to concern you. I am glad that you know now what is causing the pain, and I can sympathise with the radiotherapy side effects. Unfortunately this can last for a while, as although you finished your radiotherapy a month ago, it will still be building up in your body. It took me a good year to fully recover from my radiotherapy. X
