Hi everybody. We are a week in on treatment. My husband has had 5 sessions of radiotherapy and one session of chemotherapy. He is having severe night sweats, waking up soaked through. Has anyone else experienced this, is it a normal side effect, and does anyone have suggestions to help please?
Hi JIMSWIFE
Having severe sweats at night must be very unpleasant for your husband.
I can't help with any experience of this but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.
I'm sure some of this forum's members will be along soon to share their experiences with you. In the meantime, has your husband mentioned this side effect to the team that is currently treating him?
I hope his sweats stop soon and he doesn't have any other side effects.
Hi JIMSWIFE night sweats are awful, and have a terrible effect on your sleep. There was a recent post in the group where we discussed this, and I posted some suggestions that may help. I’ll pop a link below for you so you can go straight to that post.
Thank you so much latchbrook. He has reported it to his chemo nurse today and we are monitoring it.
Hi Chelle, I am really grateful for this. Will go to the link now. Much appreciated. x
