Hi my husband has lung cancer and we have a been though a real roller coaster since Dec with delays and then infection’s which added to the stress. He’s in hospital now with another infection which will delay next chemo. Just at my wits end on how to cope .
Hi Hexton, sorry to hear that your husband is in hospital with an infection. It does all feel very over whelming at times doesn’t it. It is important to look after yourself whilst caring for your husband. Do you have a close family member or friend that you can take some time out with?
Lots of hospitals have either a Macmillan centre or a Maggies centre on site. These are really good places to go to either chat with someone or just take some time to chill out with a coffee.
You can also chat to someone on the Macmillan support line on 0808 808 00 00.
Hope your husband is soon back home and ready to continue with his treatment x
