Hi just got back from clinic and had scan results for my husbands stage 4 Nsclc
not great turns out the Premexted and Keytruda have not worked did initially
now going to try Doxatacel and Nirivimab just wondered if anybody has had experience with it
Hi SuperLeeds3 I am sorry to hear that the treatment has not worked. I do not have any experience with Doxatacel or nirivimab myself, but I do not that it is also used for other cancer types as well as lung cancer. If you do not get a reply here it may be worth asking in the chemotherapy-forum just click on the highlighted link and it will take you to the page.
Hello SuperLeeds3 (are you from Leeds? I was born there and now live in Tadcaster).
After a lung cancer diagnosis in 2014 (surgery & chemo - still in remission thankfully) I was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2016 which recurred last year.
I had docetaxel for this and am almost 1 year post completion. I wrote a blog at the time which you might find informative and a link to it is below.
I am now over the side effects other than my fingers which continue to be a little numb and/ or tender which looks like being permanent.
I sincerely hope the new regime does its job for your husband and wish you both all the best.
Derek.

hi SuperLeeds
Diagnosed with NSCLC Stage 4 January .
Sorry to hear that your treatment is not working.
I have received 7 x 3 weekly sesions of immunotherapy (keytunda ) . No side effects . My recent PET scan showed that the Keytunda had worked well in the lungs but not reaching other places . The spine mets have increased so much that the pain is so bad that a can no longer walk . Last week I could get myself into the wheelchair but this week I can’t sit up .
I am currently as an inpatient for an MRI scan which I got today . Got results within an hour and no change to PET but junior doctor suggested that I would be having radiotherapy and perhaps chemo form tablet never mentioned immunotherapy …if course I never asked
I have a 5 day old grandson and it’s sad I can’t walk or push the pram but I know there’s people worse off than me .
Wishing all the best to everyone on this forum x
