I dont know how people do this mentally.  In hospital sick with chest infection and all I want to do is get rid of cancer.. I feel like I'm loosing my mind... trying to stay positive but it's not tSobt easy.SobSobSob I dont know what to do as I just want to give up..

  • Please don’t give up be positive

  • Hello

I am sure that you are in hospital is for a reason. They will send you home asap

Can you ask to speak to someone from your team or phone them if you are able to speak they may pop on to see you if you’re in the same hospital?

My team popped in to see me that was my consultant and a couple of nurses when I went in for a blockage.

So if you let them know you’re in hospital they may check in with you and be able to set your mind at ease

Try and stay calm as it’s very hard to breathe when we are upset. I know that as I have experienced it. Deep breathing helps and calms , breathe in counting slowly in and out !

    Best wishes

  • Just saw this heads all over.. its getting better.. thank u. My mental  has gone that's for sure

  • No none been to see me. I dont get it. I just feel as lost and alone as I did when they told me I had the cancer.. I'm done to be honest I want it to just ne over with.not knowing anything is nerve wrecking..

  • So how about you phone the telephone number that you have from your bronchoscopy appointment. There should be a nurse that can push your case forward. You may have slipped through the net.
    It is worth phoning them

  • I didnt have any of that info but the lung nurse down stairs found out name and phone number so maybe they can get me to my appointment in morning..and hopefully home shortly.

  • Saw them this morning so in next week for biopsy and if lymph nodes are effected I'll need chemo and such before surgery if they're not then surgery to remove it the week after biopsy. Its all moving and I'm terrified

  • That is  great news.
Once treatment starts you don’t have to think about it.

    They will deal with it.
it’s great they’ve got the plan

Hope you have a good day

  • Aww that’s good news at least your getting somewhere it’s a year today that I had surgery to remove half my right lung removed via keyhole I was lucky didn’t need chemotherapy because it was less than 4cm it was 3cm and hadn’t spread to my lymph nodes but whatever your outcome your being looked after I’ve found it difficult with the different conditions I’ve come across numb tingling very tender to touch under my boob and on it I was recommended bi oil and it really does work I’ve found that the gel is better now just rub on your affected area then once your scars start to heel you can put it on those mine have healed fantastic I’ve now done a year and the seasons so in the winter last year it was painful I had to but some thermal tops to keep myself warmer and now that the weather is better I’m finding my scars are tender due to skin tightening but I also bought some new bras from marks and spencer soft touch and they are great keep your chin up you will be fine they’ve got you sorted
