Hello TinaB24
I hope you do not mind me replying to you as I have had a different type of cancer to you but I hoped by doing so it may bump your post back to the top where someone will see it.
I wonder if it is best to speak to your CNS/Doctors who know you best and your treatments and ask about this. After I completed my radiotherapy last year I was given a number and an email address that I could contact them with any questions about my treatment. I was told that I could do this at any time, even if it was a year later. I wonder if this is something that you are able to do? They would be able to give you more information on single high dose treatment.
Alternatively you could consider giving the support line a call and asking one of the nurses about the high dose radiotherapy. There is a number below and they are lovely on there.
I hope this helps a bit and hopefully someone with experience of this type of treatment will see your post and offer support.
In the meantime if there is anything else you need, please do ask.
Jane
My partner was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer 3 years ago and also had tumours in her spine, one of e which was causing a lot of pain
she had a single dose of palliative radiotherapy on this tumour , it took a couple of weeks to settle down , but since then has had no pain from this tumour
