Poss chemo after op. She has mutayed Exon 20 gene.
She"s mentally a wreck. I present as calm but am devastated. I had triple negative breast cancer 8 years ago, I reacted differently . I had mutated gene in my cancer. She was great support to me.
My head feels full of anxiety and sorrow as I can't make it ok. Her anxiety makes her hyper anxious about any 'symptom' she believes is Cancer.
Hi , sorry to hear your news . Your sisters results are very similar to mine . But with mutated Braf gene . I’m 7 weeks post op and start chemo next week . Try and get her to concentrate on what she can control in the present . Prepare for her op , try to do a bit of walking , buy some nice toiletries new pair of pyjamas . I got on top of my ironing . Read a book , did a puzzle , watched rubbish tv . Packed my bag ready . My op was exactly 4 weeks of waiting . If she hasn’t already get in touch with her GP to see if they can arrange a well-being call . Try and get her to sort of put what’s happening to the back of her mind , try to keep busy.. the waiting is the worst .
Hi thank you. Ive been going to all her appointments with her except her brain scan today as I can't get put of work. She is shocked how distraught she is.
She didn't hear from hospital for 2 months after being diagnosed ( february)and when she rang up to check why was questioned whether she did have cancer as they hadn't put her on the list. She didn't tell anyone in the family until May as she was panicking.in the meantime it spread.
For her it's the waiting, still no operation date , it could be another 6 weeks plus. I think once she starts to have treatment it will help her.
I just feel so angry they forgot her and she didn't tell me. I had triple negative in 2015 and she was there for me.
I'm mentally exhausted as work is full on and I have to remain calm for her. I just needed to say it here.
It's helped to know you are over the first part of your journey. If having chemo my advice is to make sure you take senna before and after your chemo sessions and ask gor extra anti sickness if you need it. Xxx
