Travel insurance?  I’m so very sorry for asking about travel insurance when we all have so much more on our minds . I thought if I think positive and act positive then I wouldn’t have lung cancer I’m so think and stupid and feel dreadful with my self when I know we all have much more important issues on our minds love Yvonne xx

  •  please do not feel guilty about asking about travel insurance! Having cancer makes travelling and having holidays so much more difficult. for lots of reasons, but the main one being we are penalised by insurance companies! Our premiums are so much higher than someone who does not have cancer. Holidays are so important. We need that time to relax, take time out, spend time with family and friends, and just for a few days believe that everything is normal.

There is a group here in the community for travel insurance. They discuss all the problems, and also recommend the good ones. I'll pop a link below so you can go straight to it.

travel-insurance-forum and this is the thread in the group for the recommended-travel-insurance. When you got to the recommended thread, make sure you press the double arrows at the bottom of the page  >> to take you to the end of the thread and the latest recommendations, as the thread is years long.

Some people find it more beneficial to call the insurance companies, rather than do it online. It is possible to get good insurance. I have just got a year policy with staysure for myself and my husband for less than £200 for the year, and that includes cruise cover.

Good luck, and have fun on your holiday x
