Hi everyone, my partner has stage 4 lung cancer, the past few nights he has been hiccupping in his sleep quite a lot which wakes him up, anyone else on this group having same problems? partner had CT scan last Friday so we are waiting on the results from the scan to see if the cancer is still stable or spread, as now partner is suffering from to much pain in the bottom of his spine and its effecting his mobility. Thanks Netty x
Hi Internet sorry you haven't had a reply to your post yet. I don't have experience of this, but I know how painful hiccups can be. Have you spoken to anyone in his medical team about this? There may be something they can give him to help x
Ty Chelle, for your reply i will ask oncologist on partners next appt xx
I'm going to suggest that you don't wait until his next appointment. Anything new should be reported to your team as soon as possible and any symptoms causing discomfort or pain should be addressed as soon as possible.
You should have a point of contact within the team. They'll liaise with the oncologists and decide whether he needs to be seen sooner.
Ty Lolie i have spoken to partners palliative care team from the hospice yesterday and there advice is to increase his oxynorm medication. i have spoken to the lung specialist nurse about the pain in bottom of partners back and to be fair they did not seem that concerned. Ty for replying to my post x
Hi Toni, My partner was diagnosed in June 22, partner had his first 3 monthly scan in October 22 and that's when the oncologist said that his tumour had shrunk from 3.5 cm to 2.9 cm and that the bones was showing new growth where the cancer is in his bones. we have an appointment on the 30th of January a f2f with oncologist to see if the immunotherapy medication is still working so fingers crossed. xx so i guess partner as been stable since July to December 22
Sorry, partner had his second CT scan the first week of January 23 So thats why we have a f2f appt to discuss results x
To give everyone in this group hope my husband has stage 4 lung cancer which has been stable since his first chemotherapy / radiotherepy treatment in 2018
