Hi All, a lot of you will know our story, Mum has SCLC but her Liver is the major problem. At the moment she is bright yellow with Jaundice and the bile duct is no longer working, no longer is the food staying her stomach, if she is not being sick it's coming out the other end. District/Macmillan Nurses had thought Mum could possibly get a stent in her liver or perhaps drained, as the bile duct is completely blocked by a 10cm tumour and if she could get more yellow with jaundice, I'd be surprised, this I have never seen. They have advised that she is too far gone to get any further help and she now has acute liver failure. We always knew the liver would pose the biggest problem. Poor soul has days instead of weeks. I know she is bloody minded enough to hang it out to Christmas, I just pray she will be aware enough for Christmas.
