Good morning lovely people.
2nd CT scan on 17 April this tear (R upper lobectomy Dec. 2022) recent scan has shown my middle lobe is compressed. Having bronchial lavage on the 23rd May. Letter to GP from consultant described it as possible middle lobe syndrome, GP unsure what this is. Regular chest infections but one in December this year & a few weeks ago really floored me. Throat is quite raw & my voice is quite hoarse. Anyone able to suggest any ideas on what's going on with me ?
Hi Toniblade,
I had 10 sessions of radiotherapy at 30 gy which is quite strong. The treatment itself was painless. I started to have probs eating right at the end as the oesophagus was burning and for couple of weeks couldn't eat or drink much. They gave me steroids which really helped so now 5 weeks after end of radiotherapy I am more or less OK. I had also a very sore skin in the back and chest and hydrocortisone cream really helped so do not fear the treatment but also do not suffer in silence as they can help
Good luck and. Let us know on this forum

Hi toni, im glad your tumor has shrunk, Hi chantie I have Stage iv Adenocarcinoma with mets to my right hip, l have completed a full cycle of carbo, Alimta/prem and Keytruda, l waited 5 months for my mutation EGFR + , and went straight onto tagrisso , after three months had 50% shrinkage of tumor and nodules in both lungs, Chantie are you still waiting on your mutation results and on chemo, i had little or no responce to chemo/Immunotherapy triplet,
Hi Ronson
I need to update my profile as I found out only this morning that I have no mutations. It took long time as initial sample from a needle biopsy wasn't good enough so had to try with a blood sample and it worked. So this means I am on same treatment that you had pembro Carbo and pemetrexed. Well I hope it will work better for menthan it did for you. I am still at the beginning and will have no 2 this coming Thursday.
Good luck on tagrisso and hope not too much side effects
Chantie
