I spent a week in hospital with a severe lung infection and collapsed lung.. I had chest xray.. Then Ct scan.. Mdt meeting then was asked if I needed my husband with me for result . I was told going off ct scan it was highly likely I have lung cancer.
Today I had bronchoscopy I asked that Dr if it was OK? He said nothing was glaring at him as cancer.. But just wait fot biopsy result.
The mdt said biopsy was for stage and grade.. Yet the person who did biopsy said nothing was glaring at him as cancer.
Surely the mdt meeting wouldn't say its highly likely I have cancer if its not? Should they not of waited for biopsy result?
Hi Jga
I appreciate it can be a confusing and very worrying time while waiting for results. However as advised, best to wait for the lab results as the visual aspects of a biopsy process don't always show up the cancer cells.
I wish you the best possible outcomes.

Thank u I re read letter off consultant who viewed ct scan and then sent me for bronscopy and ebsu(think that's right or esbu ) he seems pretty sure it's cancer, I was probably hanging on to biopsy Drs words that nothing was glaring out at him as a glimmer of hope the ct findings were wrong.. Results in a week x
