    Hi Kerry

Sorry your husband is not feeling right. It could well be a side effect. I would recommend calling the 24 hour immunotherapy nurses to speak to them about how he is feeling so they can reassure you or suggest anything they might be able to do. It is important they are let know if anything happens after treatment.

    I hope that helps.

When you get given chemotherapy and immunotherapy they usually provide an acute oncology phone number so you can get hold of your hospital oncology? It should be on the paperwork you were given? If not could you phone the hospital switch board. Or the number here and they maybe can help with the number for the hospital you use, or give some advise 0808 808 00 00.

  • Hi

I haven't had immunotherapy however when on standard chemo, the aching all over and my legs barely able to support my body was a sign my red blood count had dropped quickly and dramatically.  Like everyone on here I have no medical training so I am not saying that this is what is happening to Hubby; however it does need to be checked out as soon as practicable. Even if it is a flu like bug, it still needs medical attention as Hubby's immune system is already compromised.

If you do not know the hotline number, ring the hospital's general switchboard and they should be able to help. If possible take Hubby's temperature beforehand so you have that additional info to hand.

    I hope this helps.
