Hi every one, hope all well in the room and all doing good, well I had a bit of a long weekend, started 2 weeks ago feeling very tired and down also dizzy, then to add to this feeling sick.
Well there you are Ray!
We have been worrying about you. So NHS isn't the best holiday resort after all. Cold water is not fun didn't they make you have cold showers in the army back in the day? Maybe it is their way of cutting the bills so people do not spend too much time in the showers.
So pleased you got the bloods done and they have helped you to feel better. Though you are still not 'right' is frustrating. I am unhappy for you that no one appears to be listening to you. I can only suggest you contact your GP and mither them into finally doing something or your Oncology nurse so they are aware of what is happening right now.
Do you mean a tonic for your energy? Not sure there is one. They just usually say light exercise where possible and to eat healthy balanced meals. Are you eating enough? Maybe some high calorie drinks could help? They would need to be prescribed to you, but it may be that if you haven't been right you haven't eaten enough and feeling a bit malnourished?
Glad to see you back home and talking to us
P.S. So I was right, Fanny is your aunt
Hi Ray, good to hear from you. The hospital trip sounds fun with the cold showers, but glad you are starting to feel better. After my radiotherapy I was extremely tired, a tiredness like I’ve never experienced before, and that did go on for some time after the treatment finished. Put the low sodium in the mix and no wonder you are feeling like you are. I must admit I had to google the low sodium as I’ve not come across that before. I would never of thought that drinking too much water could actually be bad for you! I don’t know about the tonic, sorry, not much help.
Can you not sack your GP? I would of by now. Good to hear you will be monitored on your blood ranges.
When I was lacking sodium (can't have been as low as yours but not sure of the figure) I was given tablets to chew/dissolve for about a week. I can't remember which one it was as I think my potassium was also low so I had tablets for both within a week or two and I can't remember which was for what.
Glad to hear your hair is growing back, it takes forever to start but then it seems to come quite quickly once it's reached past that awkward phase. I am getting long enough to get some curls when I wash it I can race you if you like? Though I have a head start on you
Aww poor Fanny, I hope you are full of beans again soon Ray, as you sound a bit fed up with it all right now.
Well hello stranger,
Sorry to hear you’ve been poorly, you were obviously running round trying to pack a bag to have time to keep us updated
Sounds like you’ve got a doctor like mine, though I don’t even get to see the doctor usually end up with the nurse practitioner! My oncologist sends a letter to a doctor at the surgery every 3 months to keep her up to date, I’ve no idea who she is, I’ve never met her.
Hopefully you’re on the mend now. What colour is the new hair
