  • Hi Maggie, good to hear from you. I’m not bored yet, but I am getting very frustrated. I can bake....,,,can’t get any flour anywhere......I can sew ......ordered material 3 weeks ago and I’m still waiting.......lovely weather so can paint the fence......can’t get any paint......the one thing I do seem to be successful at is piling on the pounds Grin

  • Hi

At the start of the lockdown I decided to start using my bread machine again to bake bread. However, I hadn't used it in years and after one use it broke down Disappointed

After patiently waiting for them to come into stock again I finally got one but then couldn't get any strong bread flour Tired face. However, a couple of weeks ago I purchased a 16kg bag of Heygates strong white bread flour from Amazon. It had good reviews so I took the plunge and ordered it. I didn't think the price of £16-99 plus free delivery was bad, considering some sellers were asking stupid amounts for their flour.

It arrived a few days later and it makes really nice bread! I also had a go at doing some iced buns and they were a great success too.

The only problem is it's size, but it's taken up residence in our under the stairs cupboard and I decant some in to a tupperware container every so often.
