Dear all,

After 2 years of immunotherapy what is the plan for cancer patients? I know there are a number of members here that fit into this category. Has anyone been offered further treatment?

many thanks,

Nadia

    Hi Pollypeck

I just read your profile to see where you are with treatment and what you had prior to the immunotherapy.

I see your Mum has had chemotherapy and radiotherapy prior to this.

Whether she will be offered anything else will depend on the scans and what the cancer has done since her diagnosis and treatment. If it is shrunk or stable, she will likely be put on to watch and wait now and followed up with regular scans. If a growth is spotted they will then decide what they may be able to offer in terms of further treatment then.

I hope this helps a little.

    Hi pollypeck

I finished immunotherapy January 2019.  No treatment since then as I’ve remained stable. I have scans every 3 months usually, but think it will be more like 6 months before I get my next one with the pandemic.

My onc did say once the cancer starts growing again I’ll most likely have chemo again.
