What a lovely weekend......
Pembro side-effect. Started to itch late Friday, went to bed early. By midnight; scratching for England! Rash just about everywhere, large red patches with raised blotches. I thought it was probably hives but as it's not something I've ever experienced before did not know for sure. Having itched and not slept made my way to our local "Out of hours" at 7.00 a.m. Saturday and got them to have a look. Yes, I'd got nettle rash. Fortunately I already had some anti-histamine at home which I was told would be okay for me to take. Back home took tablet and happily it started to work after an hour and scratching eased enough for me to go back to bed and get some much needed sleep. Very tired Sunday morning, but rash fading into oblivion. Happy to say all gone now, but somewhat tired still.
I believe it's an uncommon side effect, hope no-one else gets it. You really are driven nuts by the itching!

Hi Artimisa
Yep, I’ve got that itch, it started a few weeks ago, starts on my hips then goes across my stomach mainly, then once you’ve scratched it pops up all over. The itch on my hips is unbelievable, an itch that really needs to be scratched then you end up sore, no broken skin just sore through itching. I told them on my last pre treatment call and the nurse had a look when she came to do my treatment. They prescribed me an anti histamine tablet and some cream - centraben, a week after using it they phoned to see if it had improved which it had but not gone so they phoned me again last week and are phoning again this week to see how things are, if this cream doesn’t help they can give another, a steroid cream I think. At the moment it seems to have calmed down, not completely gone but near enough. I agree it’s an ITCH
Shudder....
I already had some 180mg fexofenadine tablets and just one seems to have done the trick.
Hope you are soon sorted Julie; you are quite right it is an ITCH in capital letters.
I think it is quite a rare thing, we are obviously both special people...

Hi
I can appreciate how itchy this allergy can be as I suffered with hives from an unknown allergy for years. I was worried sick before I started Pembro that I would get hives again. Luckily for me I didn’t suffer any side effects for the whole 2 years. Keep those antihistamines handy.
