Hi all,

well today did not go as expected and I'm starting to realise that this is the norm for me at the moment. Saw the head and neck specialist last week who informed me that they had referred me to the Respiratory consultant as from the PET scan it looked like lung Ca.

So today went to see a very nice chest doc, who told me that when they had Geno typed my lymph node biopsy it showed Breast cancer.

So now have to have breast specialist appointment and just to make sure all ok with lungs or not a bronchoscopy and biopsy of lymph in chest.

then just to finish my day off I need to have a CT head and have been advised not to drive at the moment.

I should have known when she said I was a complex case  ( ha ha ).

I 'm just glad I'm still feeling ok and have work to distract me tomorrow. Had to put my father - in - law on emergency chauffeur duty until further notice.

I hoe everyone is having a good day.

ps Varmint good luck for tomorrow and your results Slight smile

Thank you, I'll let you know tomorrow x

Rheumatologist that examined me checked my boobs (at this point I should of wondered why when I had sore knees ) because she'd looked at x-ray and said sometimes problems in the breast will look like they're in the lung.  You learn something new every day on this roller coaster!

Hope all goes ok with your next round of appointments x

Well they have kept you guessing through that haven't they, but I guess they are being through and making sure they get the right diagnosis which will mean you should end up with the best treatment plan for you.

I hope they get these appointments in soon so you can move forward to treatment and get the many questions answered.

Sorry to hear about the head scan and being advised not to drive. It is so frustrating the loss of freedom. I am glad you have a chauffeur already lined it. I take mine to all sorts of exciting places like the supermarket, hospital, hospice etc etc. Can't fool them I live a highly exciting life anymore.

I don't mind being complex (I am too weird and wonderful and keep them all guessing) sometimes I think it gets a bit more interest from your oncologists as it gives them something 'above the ordinary' to get them interested more so in you. Anything to put a positive spin on it that it may give you even better care.

    My last reply didn't post!

Anyway appointment was for them to confirm cancer type. Adenocarcinoma (most common) originally from CT scan they thought no spread to lymph nodes but pet scan report put me at T3 N2 M0 so they have to wait for actual images before deciding treatment now (think if no spread it was definitely surgery) should know after next week's meeting I'd I'm off to see a surgeon or oncologist and have an MRI booked for Tuesday to check brain!

Good luck with your next appointment Kacirh.

Hope I can be half as brave as Gina after what you've endured!

    Hi Varmint

I hope the images is not too long for you. It does seem to take forever at this stage but once they have all the facts together they do move fast. I hope that you can have the surgery. Good luck with the brain check too.

Any questions as you go along we will try to help.
