    Hi Both

I was never told not to drive after chemotherapy, but I was in England and there was a shuttle bus for us back to where we were staying.

I did drive after some radiotherapy sessions when I flew home for the weekends.

I would say for the first session or two to have someone with him, in case they feel unwell and therefor not feeling well enough to drive. If after that they feel  fine after take it from there.

when i was on chemo i was told not to drive. after each session they would ask if someone coming to pick me up?  my hospital has free parking for patients receiving chemo. decided one time to walk to bus stop half a mile to go into town was cold, nearly fell over into traffic.uneven flagstones.  learnt my lesson. • Interesting  replies.  My husband had 4 cycles of chemo in 2014 and again in 2018.  He also had 6.5 weeks of radiation in 2018.  Never once was driving ever mentioned.  No one ever asked how we were getting home.  He just got up and left - train, bus and then walk (about an hour in total)

I totally appreciated all the lifts I got to my chemo sessions.  I felt different after each one.  On a couple of occasions I probably could have driven myself but more often than not I felt to out of it and would not have been safe to drive.x
