would appreciate any advice
Thanks Darlo I will ring tomorrow as you say better safe than sorry.
Hi Larnaca2000
Just a thought, but my hubby has advanced lung cancer and recently lost his voice around a month ago. He is being treated with immunotherapy and is being referred to ENT. It appears that the lung cancer tumour is pressing on one of the vocal chords causing paralysis which results in a floppy vocal chord. Hopefully after the initial ENT investigation they will inject the floppy chord with "Teflon" which is supposed to stiffen the vocal chord again and restore his voice.
I can let you know how he gets on after he has seen the ENT consultant.
All the very best x
Hi Ditzee thankyou for info I hope you're husband gets to see ENT soon I have recovered my voice somewhat Think was just viral infection thankfully.
All the best to you both.
My husband had exactly the same and had lost his voice for over 6 months. After the small procedure (day surgery) he can speak again! It was fantastic for him to be able to take phone calls and order food for himself in restaurants. You don't consider how debilitating it is to have no voice! Good Luck!
