Hello All

I thought about setting up a thread for us all to use to chat about various stuff across, so it's all in one place and newer members posts not getting pushed down and off the discussion front page before getting an answer.

I hope you are all doing well and not too stuffed on easter eggs?

I have not eaten mine yet! I went to bed friday night not feeling well and woke up Saturday with a horrid migraine throwing my guts up Disappointed usually I fall asleep and sleep it off. Not so, I ended up going to the OOH doctor Sunday afternoon as was still throwing up Disappointed He gave me some lotions and potions and still not right yet. Though haven't thrown up for a few hours now. I going to try and eat something soon (not easter eggys) to see if I can manage that and see if it makes me feel better. I hate being ill! Especially on a bank holiday weekend with such nice weather. I was so looking forward to it and I have slept most of it away.

Hope you have a good night sleep good news about your liver.Hibiscus

  • Hi Nel

Sorry to hear your in hospital, jeez, with all those steroids you’ll have your knitting finished by morning, you’ll have to send out for more wool

    Take care

  • Hi Julie

thanks and hope all well with you. I’d rather be at home with the large Baileys but can’t complain.

yes I’m working on it! Trouble is once wool is gone I will have to order online. Still, keeping me out of mischief at the moment and away from so many opportunities for fun - not!

    stay safe xx

  • Hi Nel,

Sorry to hear you’re in hospital but glad it’s nothing sinister and they are working it out. Hope you managed to get some sleep in between the knitting. I’m also going to have to order some more wool online so I can finish the cardigan I’m doing for the new grandson- just the last sleeve to do.

Hope you get to have your Bailey’s soon.
    Take care

  • Hi Fi

thanks. They’re keeping a close eye. Can’t wish for better care and if it’s an auto immune response resulting from previous immunotherapy then hopefully steroid will help.

with double dose was up knitting till 1am! Usually asleep by ten!
hope you are keeping well. Annoying you’ve now to wait to finish sleeve until wool arrives. Hope soon. Once you’re getting going you want to finish it!

    xx

  • how are you getting on?

  • Hi Chelle

thanks for thinking of me. After my liver enzymes Kept rising and finally at 2100 my liver was not happy and neither were doctors so I was moved to the high dose steroid and things are improving. Was hoping to get home today but now seems coukd be tomorrow but likely Wednesday as they want to see how I go when they take me down to lower dose steroid and tablets.

not sure yet where we go with trial. Lower dose perhaps but all for discussion. No point helping my cancer and destroying my liver as they said . Annoying as must say since being on the trial I’ve felt so well and annoying symptoms like cough and phlegm went! We will see but I feel really well and must say it’s like being in an hotel here! Can’t fault the care. Royal Marsden and drug development team excellent.

so like all of us from time to time. Ups and downs and I’m grateful to be receiving all the help and care I need. I’ve realised that with the disease we are all dealing with one way and the other, the road is bumpy!!

hope all are well and ready for the start of what we hope will be a good week. I see our PM is self isolating having been tracked and traced. Seems and feels like more around. I guess the schools and colleges make a difference.

Knitting going well! Not much else to do

    xx

  • Oh Nel, what a pickle. Hope they can do the trial with a lower dose for you. Glad they are looking after you well there, but I’m sure you can’t wait to get home. Hope you don’t run out of wool anytime soon.

Ive started watching the new series of The Crown today on Netflix. That should keep me busy for a couple of days.
