My husband was on keytruda for 6 months & was decided not working. It did shrink lymph nodes to start & cancer stable then 2nd 3 month scan scan showed lymph nodes & lumg mass fractionally growing, so was stopped. All the time he was on it felt ill, nausea, aches, fatigue, leg/ankle fluid.

Started caboplatin/premexted late Sept within first week fluid & knee pain gone. Then suffered a delayed immunotherapy colitis attach & was in Marsden urgent care as an out patient for 4 days.

He was put on prednislone & is been weaning off from 60mgs daily & now on 40mgs.daily & will be weaned off & last date 7/11/25.

The weird thing about all of this, he feels absolutely brillliant, his mobility is back to normal, no nausea, faitigue etc  he said its the best hes felt in 10 months.

So both confused! Was it the first chemo that got rid of all the fluid & knee pain or stopping keytruda, but obvs that was still in his system as he had the adverse reaction & cant be prednislone as that didnt start till after fluid/knee pain had gone.

Can one treatment of chemo be the reason? His 2nd  treatment delayed due to adverse reaction to immuno colitis.
