Hello everyone ,

This is my first post online . Thank you to everyone who has posted previously . There has   been a lot of information posted that has been very useful to me . Thank you .

I have a question now that I can't find any threads for .

I'm about to start second line  chemotherapy treatment with DOCETAXEL and NINTEDANIB  .  . My first line treatment was with PEMETREXED and CARBOPLATIN  which was helpful initially but not anymore .

Does anyone have any personal experience with DOCETAXEL and NINTEDANIB they would share with me ?

My first chemotherapy treatment was progressively more difficult BUT manageable .

  • Hello William R,

I had 6 cycles of docetaxel last year for recurrent prostate cancer (my first cancer was lung treated successfully so far with surgery and chemo 11 years ago). I wrote a blog on here documenting my docetaxel experience which can be found through the link below and might be of general interest to you for information purposes.

Now approaching 1 year after completion the one remaining side effect is slight numbness and discomfort of finger ends which may well be permanent.

I don't have experience of nintedanib.

I wish you all the very best for successful treatment.

  • Hello Excavator ,

Thank you so very much for your reply .

I'm a slow reader  , so I will take time to work my way through your very informative blog .

    I really appreciate that .

I've read your blog that you sent the link for . Thanks again , always good to hear someone else's experiences .

I've just started my new treatment 5 days ago and am keeping a daily journal which I may edit and upload in future . At this moment , 5 days in I'm a bit knackered but ploughing on .....

All the best , and hope you're well .
