Hi, small cellular lung cancer, chemo shrunk by 94%
Immunotherapy did not work and tumor grown back...next steps radiotherapy as spread to brain..only small amount.
Has this happened to anyone else..did radiotherapy help/work?
Hi Clare72bear I am sorry that the immunotherapy did not work for you. I have had radiotherapy but mine was first line treatment, I didn’t have chemo or immunotherapy. I did get really good results from the radiotherapy, and I know others here have too.
Thank you.
I have been positive throughout my whole journey but this has knocked everything out of me.
Trying to dig deep and regain my positivity vibes x
Hi, Not sure if this is the same as yours but I had a upper left lobe lobectomy just over a year ago, went on to have chemo because there was a 50/50 chance of it returning. Over Christmas without going into detail I felt really weird in January they found 2 small tumours on my brain.I had targeted radiotherapy in February and going by my last scan the tumour has shrunk from 19.5 x 18 x 19mm to 7 x 9.5mm and I found radiotherapy a lot easier than chemotherapy. So it has definitely helped.
Thank you.
Finished week of radiotherapy yesterday.
Feel ok, feeling positive again.
We will wait to see what happens.
Just wish they would just remove the bloody tumor instead of blasting it!
Hope you're feeling ok x
Glad that you are feeling positive again and hopefully you will be back to your old self soon, my recovery has taken a bit longer than usual because of side effects from chemo and I ended up in hospital in March with pneumonia. My energy levels are still low but I am getting there.
Hi Clare72 I’m going through my 2 cycle at the moment for ALK positive NSCLC and am doing fine although it’s hard I’m pushing through as I’m not lying down to this disease
Hi, glad to hear your not lying down...me either!
Today has been a great day, I've actually had energy.
Hope you feel a spurt of energy soon x
