I have been reading all the stories on here and would like to share my experience
I have stage 4 lung cancer, but I also had cancer in my chest and stomach noids my 9th rib and in 3 places in my spine, I thought after seeing the lung cancer specialist with this news I would crumble, but I did not I planned working full time and keep my life as normal as I could, although it does change your way of looking at life. I was determined that the cancer would be second in my life. I need to take care of the cancer, I actually named my right lung Right Roger.
Don't get me wrong the side effects of the chemo and immunotherapy were difficult pain in my knee bones was horrendence but I used deep heat pads and it worked.
I had 5 chemo and 7 immutherapy in all and it has cleared all my cancer. But my right lung the cancer has gone into a scar in my lung, doctors has advised it could stay like this for years,
When I was told In May 2022 that I had lung cancer I came out of the hospital and looked up to the sky and said if you think I am coming up there you have a long wait I have a life to live. I was determined.
Your mind can play such a big part in the success of your cancer. I still have a cry everyday you either let the cancer rule your life and give up and it is hard for family as well to live with cancer. Or you live as much as you can and enjoy life.
I appreciate life and wish I could help more with supporting people with cancer.
