In April I was diagnosed with limited stage small cell lung cancer and began intensive chemo coupled with simultaneous radiation. It was a rough summer in many ways. Last week I had a contrast CT done and saw my oncologist today. The cancer is completely gone! I'm giddy with relief, but wanted to post here to encourage others. Cancer treatments have come so far and odds if survival have gone up. Don't give up and let your friends and family give you all the emotional support they offer! Many blessings for all!
Wonderful news Mirabo , I am so happy for you x
Major congratulations!! Long may this continue :-)
My dad finished his limited SCLC treatment (Chemo/Radio) in June and finished 10 sessions of preventative brain radiotherapy 3 weeks ago. He doesn't have a follow up scan or appt, yet and I am freaking out! How long was the gap between last treatment and re-scan? THanks
