Was recovering well but last night started with bad indigestion which seems to have taken root.
i’m taking lanseprozole and been having rennies and mint tea, but I am very burpy and keep getting hiccups.
is this a side effect and any advice?
Sorry but can't help with this one as haven't had the symptoms you describe. Could be the medication you're on on, if any, but it might be worthwhile speaking to your CSN or hospital contact if you were given one. Hope it settles down soon and your good recovery continues.
Trish
Managed to alleviate the indigestion but now I’ve got breath catching, every so often I have to catch my breath and feel a little breathless. I have been using my spirometer and making progress.
however, my side is now feeling very tight so I’m wondering if I’m breathing a little shallower than I should be.
i do suffer health anxiety so probably this are all just normal niggles after surgery.
got a call from hospital on monday so I’ll mention then.
My husband was burping and hiccuping quite a lot after his op, not so much now 4 mths on. Maybe there's still a lot of air that has to escape. He still gets breathless at times. I hope your hospital consultation has put your mind at rest.
Yes it did, feeling a bit fragile at the moment, family stuff, and so going to get some counselling. I do get a nervous stomach when I’m stressed.
I’m glad your consultation helped. Having cancer is scary and stressful in itself without being made worse by other worries so I hope that you’ll also find a counselling session helpful and wish you a good recovery from your op..
I had same problem it lasted 3months after having part of my lung removed but I found a video on YouTube that helped a lot just put in nose breathing and it will come up it took me a bit to get it right I think I was hyperventilating but it did help I still get breathless but nowhere near as muscle it stopped my problem pretty well stick at and hope you feel better soon all my best roy
