Hi
I recently had 3 cancerous nodules removed surgically - one by wedge resection, two by lobectomy. I am now told I have two more nodules that aren't cancerous (yet?) - this time one in each lung. I was told I am a nodule generator. Has anyone else experienced this?
I am beginning to feel I have the sword of Damocles hanging over my head...
Hi Violet66
Hope this helps a bit.
I developed a nodule in one of my lungs 6 years after successfully completing SCLC treatment, which my cancer team are keeping an eye on. One of my Consultant explained to me that if everyone in the UK was scanned the majority would have a nodule of some sort or other. This shows how common they are and that most are benign and have no impact on quality of life.
The thing is that once you have reason to be scanned on a routine basis then the likely hood of finding a nodule increases.

Hi Kegsy
Thanks for sharing that Kegsy. It has helped, thanks. That bloomin' sword won't go away though. I guess I will just have to live with the uncertainty. I also have nodules in my stomach - so far non cancerous - but with both lung cancer and stomach cancer in my family, I am wary. I am very good at burying my head in the sand though, and have done for the past nine months. Time to go back to the beach! x
