  • Hello,

I'm on a clinical trial for (Cemiplimab) Immunotherapy.

  • Hi Fsake are you finding Saron helping how long have you been on Saron. I'm on Osimertinib which targets the cancer and at the moment doing OK. Rob

  • Hi rob yes I've bern on the saron trial 14 months now started on immunotherapy pembrolizumab then had radiotherapy to chest adrenal glands and lymph nodes then back on pembrolizumab, its working ok keeping the cancer at bay however i am now getting side effects in the form of more fatigue and joint stiffness in the mornings but that could just be old age creeping in lol.

    How is your treatment going

    Cheers

  • Thats good keeping cancer at bay and giving you quality of life, but side affects we all have to live with. My treatment going OK been on Osimertinib for 5 months now and has shrunk my tumer from 24 to 16 and keeping nodules rounds my lung at bay. My cancer is stage 4 incurable so my consultant has said that as long as the tablets are working il be OK lol.  Side affects seem to go round in a circle sore fingers one week then  tiredness bad stomach eye vision, but body is getting used to them. Take care Rob

  • I have NSCLC with Met Exon 14 skipping mutations and the study is of Apl-101 which targets multiple cancers. It involves 2 tablets every day over a 4 month cycle with multiple visits to Christie's for blood tests scans ECG and Echocardiogramsand other types of exams. Have been screened for it and am waiting to see if I am fit to be able to have it. I am 83 but up to now have been quite fit and capable. Recently had a drain fitted to enable fluid to be drained off twice a week. Hope I am doing the right thing. Only other alternative is chemo which I can have if this doesn't work. Fingers crossed
