I received a appoint letter for 5 jan 2022 for the lung team, today I have received a appointment letter for 12 jan from palliative care team. I’ve had no discussion with any team at the present time regarding my diagnosis at this stage I don’t know anything about what stage my cancer is at or what treatments can be offered, I am very confused I don’t understand what is happening to me at all. Can anyone please advise me is it normal to be referred to palliative care before I have been told what stage my cancer is at. Please advise if anyone can I am so lost

    Hi Hamhat.

I've only joined the forum today, but so just wanted to say that I hope you feel better since your post.

I often find myself watching YouTube videos to distract myself a bit. Graham Norton show clips are a current favourite.

  • Good evening everyone I hope we all had good things happen today. Tomorrow I go for blood test and covid test prior to chemo and immunotherapy starting on Friday. I hope tests go ok and I can start my treatment as planned. Sending hugs to all and thank you to everyone for supporting me on dark days

  • Hi Hamhat, glad you’ve got your starting date all booked. Once you have the tests done and dusted you’ll start to feel better about it and then relax a little. All the best x
