Constant crying

I was only diagnosed a few weeks ago and had my first treatment of keytruda on Friday.

My problem is crying.... I know it's early days still, and I'm lucky enough to have lots of family and friends I can talk too, but I'm just so fed up with crying all the time as it just makes me feel worse.

Just wondering if there's any medication that will numb my emotions a bit as the more I cry the worse I feel and that makes me cry even more.

Any suggestions would be so much appreciated

Xx

  • Hi Elsie, my heart went out to you this morning when I read your post. You emotions are bound to be all over the place at the moment, you have been through such a lot in recent weeks. From diagnoses to treatment, it can really take it out of you.

Have you spoke to your GP about how you are feeling. There are medications that can help if you want to go down that route, and there is also counselling, which your GP can arrange for you.

Remember there is nothing wrong in feeling sad, and if you want to cry that is ok. But don’t suffer in silence. We are here for you if you want to talk, and the support line is available 7 days a week on 0808 808 00 00 from 8am until 8pm.

    Thank you..

I think I need to go down the medication route as talking hasn't helped. I'm lucky to have a ton of support and people I can confide in but it's not helping stop the tears. I'm literally sobbing all the time and it just leaves me tired and headachy.

  • Be honest with your GP about how you are feeling. they will be able to help you xx
