Hi All - Looking for some tips - My Mum's hair has fallen out and she say's her scalp in really sore. Anyone got any Idea's on what I can massage into this. Thanks
Hi Toppy, my friends and i all found different forms of relief, sorry no help there then haha. I used Aqueous for dry skin. I would go and Goggle best treatment for chemo hair loss if no one else on here comes up with an answer, but like i said we are all different. You could ask your hospital nurse or GP. If your mum is having a NHS wig she could ask there. All the best
Hi toppy, aloe Vera helps to sooth the scalp. You can get a gel and keep it in the fridge so it is cool when applying. X
Fantastic Chelle, Thank you, my mind was drawing a blank. Aloe Vera is natural. I will get some today and do it tonight - Your a star, Thanks again
I've seen my GP today for a suspected infection but also got him to check my scalp as it is so very sore- he says it is quite common after chemo and is called Folliculitis- inflammation of the follicles- he's suggested I use Vosene shampoo twice a day - leave it on 10 mins then rinse off- he's also prescribed a steroid cream but can't pick that up until this evening so not sure what it is - make sure you keep an eye on it as it can get infected :(

Soon as my hair started to come out, I shaved it all off, as that took the pressure off the hair folicals, as it is painful at the start and lasted about two weeks, then started to ease off.
I bought baby shampoo, and although I've no hair I still wash my scalp with the baby shampoo each night as boy don't you perspire from your head.
This has helped for me.
Ahh Thank you Debsvp, I am sorry you are going through his as well. My daughter is a hairdresser and shaved it for her. My Mum was blessed with the thickest of hair so it was coming out in bundles. She is wearing a towelling turban most of the day as she doesn't like her wig. I will pick her up some baby shampoo.
Thanks xx
