Due to this covid virus my wife wasn't given the iribulin alongside exestamane due to increased risk of infection, latest scan show tumours have grown and markers doubled, great. So she might have caught covid, even though we're both shielding, but she's definitely got cancer which has now been allowed to grow unchecked, I am so annoyed. The onco has now said she should go onto Capecitabine, this will now be her 4th line of treatment. If anyone else is on this is it any good, and what other options do we have as I don't have much faith in the oncologist, sadly, as I know there's no ill will there. Thank you

  • Hi

I'm afraid I don't have any experience with Capecitabine but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered.

I see that you're also a member of the secondary breast cancer group and I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also post your question in that group, as it's a far more active group that the secondary liver cancer group.

I did type 'capecitabine' into the search bar in this group and found a few previous posts which mention it but a lot more in the secondary breast cancer group. You could have a look yourself, if you haven't already done so, and respond to any recent posts where you feel that the poster could help you further.

When you have a minute, it would be really useful for others when answering your posts and to those looking for a similar diagnosis, if you could pop something about your wife's journey so far into your profile. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
