Hello
I have joined this group desperate for some advice to help my husband. At Christmas he was diagnosed with stomach cancer which has spread to his liver. Since then his bilirubin levels have been high and he has suffered from constant and severe itching and, due to this, he can’t sleep or get any respite from it. He has been prescribed and tried a variety of different medication and lotions but nothing is making any difference and he is at the end of his tether.
Has anyone got any suggestions which could help him?
Hello Newms
I am Brian one of the Community Champions here at Macmillan. I have just noticed you haven't had any replies to your post. I can't answer your question as I have a different cancer, however by me replying your post will be "bumped up" to the top of the page and I hope seen and replied to by other members of the group.
One of the side effects of my Prostate Cancer treatment was itchy skin - I tried many solutions and settled on "Aproderm" a cream supplied on prescription from my GP - I also use "Child's Farm Baby Moisturiser". They worked for me but I appreciate we are all different.
Good luck with finding a suitable answer.
Best wishes - Brian.
