never give up hope take each week how it comes ,we do .
Hi hope you and your husband are doing good.my husband had bowel cancer last year we got the all clear Dec last year then in Feb we found out it was in his liver .we were told there was no chance of surgery.he has had chemo which had stopped working and the tumor had doubled in size .so started on chemo tablets this week .we are very confused though he got a phone call yesterday to say the liver surgeon wants to see him on Monday ?we can't figure out why as we were told surgery was not an option.i was wondering if you would have any idea as your husband has been through this . reading your story has give us hope thank you
BooBonnie
Hope is all we have.As with you I would be very confused on what's going on,maybe they have seen something and surgery maybe an option ,my husbands chemo stabilised the liver tumours so able to have surgery.
we are in the hands of doctors !!!!
Cancer takes over our lives to top everything I was diagnosed Nov 18 with lung cancer had operation I'm all good at this time .
We have taken our lives back, cancer is not going to define who we are .
I won't say don't worry as that's something we all do,sleepless nights, the what if ?all I can say is talk to each other, cry with each other, and support each other we have and that's how we have got through all this
People ask how do you cope!!!! I reply you do ,what else is there, feel sorry for ourselves No as I say just each week is a bonus
good luck and hoping x
That was a very helpful post and I agree with the sentiments. I have just found this while searching for info on liver cancer. I have some cancer in my liver from a kidney cancer that has invaded the liver....I am waiting for them to explore the range of options through more scans and to be honest since my cancer diagnosis in May I have found there is only uncertainty and I am learning to live with that-not easy.
I appear to have something unusual, but the options are as many of you describe.
Looking out of my window at the sun on the trees I can only think good another day!!
Happy to share and chat much luck and respect to all x
Hi boobonnie
Hope you got some good news from the liver surgeon . It took two liver resections to clear my mum’s liver but delighted to say it has remained clear for the last eight years . The surgeons removed 73% of her liver in the end .
An incredible organ and thankful it was able to regenerate well .
take care everyone ,

Hope is the one thing you can't let anybody take away from you. I was told I had inoperable extensive liver mets in 2015. I asked them to reword the letter so it said "not currently operable" and I regained the hope I could get operable in the future.
In Sept 2015 I underwent my 1st liver resection, and now 4 years on am looking to undergo my 3rd liver resection, and have had a couple of liver ablations along the way, and 4 years of chemo of various flavours.
Love it . I think “ currently unresectanble” should become part or good clinical practice. At that point they don’t know who the top responders to chemo are ! Let’s wait to see what chemo can achieve dit’s more comfortably with me .
Take care ,
