Hi all,
can anyone give advice on oxaliplatin?
Hi and a warm welcome to the online community
I don't have any experience with this drug but I noticed that your post had gone unanswered so found this information for you.
I hope it gives you the information that you're looking for but, if not, do pop back with anything else you need to know.
When you have a minute it would be really useful if could pop something about your journey so far into your profile as it helps others when answering or looking for someone with a similar diagnosis. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Edit Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

Hi, I didn't experience any shaking so I'm sorry I can't help you with that. Tiredness is very common so expect that often. The most common side effects are sensitivity to the cold, hands and feet especially. Wear gloves when touching cold things, also be careful of drinking cold drinks. Some people get mouth ulcers, dry skin and loss of appetite. Were you given a phone number for a nurse who you could ring for reassurance? Note down all her symptoms and make sure you tell someone next time she goes for treatment. The dose can be adjusted if the side effects are too severe. Good luck and keep posting on here.
