  1.  Hi I’m after some advice, I’m taking   letrozole, palbociclib, and zoladex... I’m suffering really bad pains in one of my legs. Knee and hip I can be fine then all of a sudden I can hardly walk. What I’m wanting to know is anyone on the same medication and have these side effects? I go to the doctors but they won’t proscribe  anything as he doesn’t know enough about the medication, my oncologist doesn’t give me an examination as she’s dealing with my cancer which she is great but I feel stuck, who do I go to about this pain. Any advice will be great. As you can see it’s 2am and I can’t sleep for the pain . Thanks Nic
  • I hope by now your pain has disappeared.  However if not I suggest you contact your oncology nurse for advice.  I was told to beware on palbociclib of leg pain which could be caused by a blood clot.  Just get it checked out to be on the safe side. Good luck x

  • Hi . In addition to the blood clot aspect you might want to ask for a referral to a pain clinic . They are ran by anaesthetists and specialist in pain management , especially break through pain . They will assist you to get on top of it . Your GP can refer you if the oncologist does not . A specific request is hard to turn down .

    take care,
