Me again. Does anyone have any websites or places to browse to get practical tips on some super foods to help fight this hideous disease? I know it’s fresh fruit, veg, whole grains etc and basically a balanced diet but I’d like to know more. I think my head could do with taking control and feel like I’m doing something positive.
Hi Seabreeze and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm not a member of this group but I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet so responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list.
I'm not aware of any "super foods" to help fight cancer and I rather suspect that if such foods existed, we'd all have been told about them by our oncologists.
I can see that you also posted this question in the ask an expert section of the online community and don't know if you've seen that you've had a reply. If not clicking here will take you to the reply.
When you have a minute, it would be great if you could pop something about your diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.

There are herbs and veggies that can help the immune system, help lungs, make your liver work better etc but the problem with food stuff is how it would react with your medication. There is so little research it's mostly better to find what to avoid. For example last time I was ER + so I avoided stuff that ramps up estrogen production. I love herbalism tho so I'm not saying avoid at all costs - got a jar of honey soaked lemon and orange in fridge that helps with the mouth ulcers and I did drink mullein tea when I caught the coughing flu. I also grow broccoli sprouts cause I hate broccoli and whack them in stews and smoothies. Doing something does help but triple check everything.
