Hello my name is Lorna , I’m 58 and just newly diagnosed with liver and lung cancer. Don’t have the exact type or details yet just that it looks like palliative care as far as my consultant can tell.
I had anal cancer 7 years ago, T4 tumour which I was lucky enough to make complete recovery from with surgery and treatment.
In a lot of pain in back and chest and exhausted and 2 weeks ago just thought I had this coughing virus everyone has been getting.
Anyway hello. xxxxxxxxxxxx
Hello Lorna,
I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. I'm Chedly 79 next Month, have been diagnosed with liver cancer in November 2022. I had immunotherapy until 15th of December 2024 then they stopped it as it has done it's job and no longer effective. On the 13th of January 2025 I was put on an anti- cancer therapy Called "Sorafenib" in form of tablets which will start 11 March 25, why so late no one knows?? I have no idea what the future hold , but I take every day as it comes, try to do a lot with my family and listen to my music. Music is my world !
Anyway stay close to the family and friends, do get out for walks if you can, nature is a healer of the mind if nothing else. Find something you can lose yourself in like drawing or painting even if it is mediocre! listen to music you love it lift your spirit .
Much love & strength to you and lots of hugs.
Chedly
