Hi I’m new to the group . My husband has liver and stomach  cancer which spread  from his bowel three years ago . His bowel surgery was successful. He’s had Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy but after his last CT scan it was decided to stop the chemo as his tumors were still growing and more pronounced . He is now on tablets which we were told if they work they’ll do so for 6months . My husband’s appetite isn’t great now , he gets really tired and his stomach looks quite big which is something new . Is there anyone in the group having or had a similar experience please ?

  • Hi  and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.

I'm sorry to read that your husband was diagnosed with bowel cancer which has spread to his liver and stomach.

As you know, the online community is divided into different support forums so I hope you don't mind me suggesting that you also join and post in the bowel cancer forum and also the secondary liver cancer forum as you'll then connect directly with people who may have had a similar experience to your husband.

If you'd like to join these forums, just click on the links I've created and, once you've joined, you can start a new post in the same way as you did here and join in with existing conversations by clicking on 'reply'.

It would be great if you could put something about your husband's diagnosis and treatment so far into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
