My wife has liver cancer and she itches all over , she scratches so hard she bleeds. The pills she has been given don’t seem to work. Is there anyone out there going through the same thing.
Hi Silver fox and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm sorry to read that your wife is suffering with extreme itchiness and that the pills she has been given don't help. If she hasn't spoken to her hospital team to tell them this ask her to do so because they may be able to prescribe something else.
I noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet, so responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be easier to see.
You could also post your question in the ask a nurse section of the online community to see if they can recommend anything. If you'd like to do this just click on the link I've created. They are available between Monday and Friday.
When you have a minute, it would be great if you could put something about your wife's diagnosis and treatment to date into your profile as it really helps others when replying to you and also when looking for someone on a similar pathway. It also means that you don't have to keep repeating yourself. To do this click on your username and then select 'Profile'. You can amend it at any time and if you're not sure what to write you can take a look at mine by clicking on my username.
