I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A LARGE LIVER TUMOUR IN OCTOBER 2020. I UNDERWENT A RESECTION IN FEBRUARY 2021. LATER IN 2021 A FURTHER TUMOUR WAS FOUND AND I WAS GIVEN ABLATION

SINCE THEN I have had 3monthly scans and to date there has been no recurrence. SCANS ARE NOW BEING REDUCED TO 6MONTHLY BUT A RECENT FIBRE SCAN HAS REVEALED FAT IN MY LIVER AND QUITE A BIT OF SCARRING. I HAVE NO SYMPTOMS AND AM WAITING FOR MORE INFORMATION.

I AM ALSO SUFFERONG FROM UNRELATED PROSTATE CANCER WHICH IS BEING TREATED WITH HORMONE SUPPRESSANTS.

THIS IS MY FIRST VISIT TO THE SITE. I WISH I HAD KNOWN ABOUT IT BEFORE.

  • Hi Old Swan - I am from the Prostate Cancer site and was just "passing through" some unanswered posts when I came across your post.

I can't speak about liver issues as that's not my cup of tea so to speak, however Prostate Cancer well there you go.

You don't say what your Prostate Cancer diagnosis is but if you are on Hormone Therapy you will have a diagnosis and am I correct in assuming that you are on Hormone therapy prior to Radiotherapy?

I am aware that some of the Hormone Therapies have far reaching side effects and If I were you I would check the patient information leaflet you have with your HT dose to see if there's any conflict with your liver medication.

I hope this helps - keep us posted as to your progress - I am sure you will get some advice from the Liver cancer community.

    Kind Regards

    Brian.
