Confused!

Hi

I am hoping for a little advice. My Dad has been very poorly recently and after an ultra sound scan was told last Saturday he has multiple liver lesions, the largest being 13.8cm and suspicion they were malignant. Two days later he had a full MRI scan and the Dr told my parents lots of medical information, that they don't really know what it means, about lymph nodes, multiple nodules in lungs and various other terms. The Doctor was not a specialist and was unable to make comment on the results, and said Dad would be referred to HPB MDT Team.  What I am struggling to understand is they said the HPB MDT team only meet once a month, and if lucky twice a month.

My concern is if they have only just me, this means it could take a month for my Dad to find out how serious this is, and if there can be a treatment plan. It all sounds pretty serious to me, but just going on what im reading on google! Just seems incredibly unfair to keep him waiting a month, with all this hanging over him., as well as could be delaying the start of any treatment. I just wanted to ask for any advice if this is a normal wait time? Thanks so much in advance, and appreciate any advice on this!
