Hi! I’m a 45 year old female who has just been told I have a 1cm growth on my splenic fletcher in the colon, which biopsies came back inconclusive, they have recently done a biopsy on my liver which has show adenocarcinoma. I am to see the consultant for the first time this week to discuss options. I am extremely frightened, and have been googling things which I probably shouldn’t. Has anyone else experienced this and could provide me with any help? I’m also so frightened this is the end for me.
Hi Mrs fight and a very warm welcome to the online community which I hope you'll find is both an informative and supportive place to be.
I'm not a member of this group but noticed that your post hadn't had any replies yet. Responding to you will 'bump' it back to the top of the discussion list where it'll be more easily spotted.
It's natural to be frightened when you're first diagnosed and to fear the worst but please stay away from Dr Google as he'll only show you the 'horror' stories.
I hope you have a good meeting with your consultant and come away knowing what your treatment plan is going to be.
Sending virtual (((hugs)))
It depends on the size of these tumours when they are discovered. The smaller, the better. Mine was 4 cm, but treatment has worked and here I am ten years later. The best possible thing you can do while tests are being done and considered is to take care of your own body. The fitter you are the better your chances. Good luck.
Martyn.
